CHANNEL PUMPS

RCN/RCPN SERIES

Horizontal single stage centrifugal pumps with overhung impeller and axial suction, constructed using the "Back pull-out system" and available with four different sizes of support.

Main technical features

  • Flow rate up to 800 m3/h
  • Discharge head up to 75 m
  • Working pressure up to 10 bar
  • Working temperature from -30 to +170°C
  • Size from 65 to 200 mm
  • Flanges drilling UNI PN10

Advantages

  • The channel impeller with wide inter-vane passages makes it possible to convey, without any danger of blockages, liquids containing particles in suspension, without fibrous materials, chemically inert or aggressive.
  • Maximum efficiency
  • Reliability
  • Compactness

Fields of application

  • The paper and chemical wood pulp industries
  • The sugar industry
  • The farm-food industry
  • Waste water and sewage treatment plants
  • The chemical and petrochemical industry
  • The iron and steel industry
  • The mining industry
  • The construction sector

Materials

The RCN-RCPN pumps can be made both of cast iron or AISI 304 or AISI 316 L stainless steel.

Shaft seal

The RCN-RCPN pumps can be equipped with various types of seal:

  • Soft packing with liquid barriage
  • Mechanical seals (simple, balanced, double, cartridge, with quench ...,) with standard circulation and flushing in accordance with the API Standard 610 norms.
  • Hydrodynamic seal: this is an innovative seal comprising a secondary impeller installed behind the main impeller which makes it possible to operate with particularly abrasive liquids or with solutions that easily deposit the solute.

Special productions

On request the pumps can be supplied:

  • With cooled sealing chamber
  • In vertical submerged version

RKC/RKN SERIES

Horizontal single stage centrifugal pumps with over hung impeller and axial suction, constructed using the "Back pull-out system" and available with four different sizes of support for the RKC series and a single size for the RKN series.
The pumps function by making use of the induced vortex principle: the impeller, which is positioned further back than the pump body, because of its particular shape induces a vortex in the conveyed liquid which expands in the body creating the pump discharge head.

Main technical features

  • Flow rate up to 700 m3/h
  • Discharge head up to 70 m
  • Working pressure up to 10 bar
  • Working temperature from -50 to + 170°C
  • Environmental temperature up to 40°C
  • Size from 65 to 200 mm
  • Flanges drilling:
    • UNI PN10 for RKC series
    • UNI PN16 for RKN series

Advantages

  • The open impeller, which is positioned further back, with wide inter-vane passages makes it possible to convey, without any danger of blockages, dirty or viscous liquids, liquids containing particles in suspension or with fibrous impurities, chemically inert or aggressive liquids and those with dissolved air and solutions with crystals in suspension
  • High performance levels
  • Reliability
  • Compactness

Fields of application

Because of their operating characteristics , the RKN and RKC pumps are particularly suited for use in the following plants:

  • The paper and chemical wood pulp industries
  • The sugar industry
  • The farm-food industry
  • The textile industry
  • Waste water and sewage treatment plants
  • The construction sector
  • The chemical and petrochemical industry
  • The pharmaceutical industry
  • Thermo-electric power stations

Materials

The RKN pumps are made of AISI 316 L stainless steel. The RKC pumps, on the other hand, can be made of AISI 304 or AISI 316 L stainless steel, or cast iron.
On request it is possible to supply products made of special nickel based alloys to resist against the chemically more aggressive components such as sulphuric acid or hydrochloric acid.

Shaft seal

The RKN pumps are equipped with soft packing seals but, depending on the liquid conveyed, simple, double, or in tandem mechanical seals can be installed with standard circulation and flushing in accordance with the API Standard 610 norms.

Special productions

On request the pumps can be supplied:

  • With cooled sealed chamber
  • In vertical submerged version

RACN SERIES

Horizontal single stage centrifugal pumps with overhung impeller and axial suction, constructed using the "Back pull-out system" and available with five different sizes of support.

Main technical features

  • Flow rate up to 1400 m3/h
  • Discharge head up to 80 m
  • Working pressure up to 10 bar
  • Working temperature from -30 to +170°C
  • Size from 80 to 300 mm
  • Flanges drilling UNI PN10

Advantages

  • The semi-open impeller, which is positioned further back, with wide inter-vane passages makes it possible to convey, without any danger of blockages, dense and/or highly viscous liquids with solid particles in suspension, solutions with high percentages or dry matter, and chemically inert or aggressive liquids.
  • Very high suction capacity
  • Extremely low NPSH values
  • Particularly advantageous from the economic point of view for plants with low NPSH values

Fields of application

  • The paper industry, conveying of paper pulp up to concentrations of 15% dry residue
  • The chemical wood pulp industry, conveying of cellulose and wood pulp
  • The farm-food industry
  • The sugar industry
  • The chemical industry

Materials

The RACN pumps can be made both of cast iron or AISI 304 or AISI 316 L stainless steel.

Shaft seal

The RACN pumps can be equipped with various types of seal:

  • Soft packing with liquid barrage
  • Mechanical seals (simple, balanced, double, cartridge, with quench ...,) with standard circulation and flushing in accordance with the API Standard 610 norms.
  • Hydrodynamic seal: this is an innovative seal comprising a secondary impeller installed behind the main impeller which makes it possible to operate with particularly abrasive liquids or with solutions that easily deposit the solute.
