Ingersoll Rand’s Robuschi, a leading global provider of rotary lobe blowers, turbo blowers, multistage centrifugal blowers, low-pressure screw compressors, liquid-ring vacuum pumps, and centrifugal pumps, proudly announces extensive upgrades to its Parma factory, establishing it as the European Center of Excellence for Low-Pressure Solutions within the Ingersoll Rand network. These transformative improvements mark a significant milestone in Robuschi’s journey to deliver state-of-the-art technologies to industries worldwide while minimizing the plant’s climate footprint.
The 32,000-sqm Parma facility, which was originally founded in 1941 and currently manufacturers an impressive 13,500 blower and pump units annually, including products from the renowned ROBOX, RBS, RVS, PROMIX, and PROCHEM series, has undergone a transformation to meet the evolving needs of customers and markets. Through strategic investments in advanced manufacturing methods, sustainable practices, and lean production processes, it now stands as a beacon of innovation, precision, and environmental responsibility.
Key enhancements have included the introduction of two new machining centers for diverse lobe and screw rotor sizes, cutting-edge robotics, and high-precision, IoT-enabled quality control systems. These crucial additions have not only increased production capacity but also improved resource efficiency, reduced environmental impact, and elevated product reliability. With a strong focus on sustainability, the facility now generates over 1,100,000 kWh of solar power a year, saving 525 tons of CO₂ emissions, and features eco-friendly mobility initiatives and waste-reduction practices.
