When handling aggressive, viscous, or particle-laden fluids, pump failure isn’t just inconvenient—it’s expensive. The ProChem centrifugal pump range from Robuschi is engineered to minimize downtime, reduce maintenance, and deliver consistent performance in chemically aggressive and mechanically demanding applications.

Access detailed specifications, dimensions, materials, and performance curves for all ProChem models.

ProChem Centrifugal Pump Range Catalog

Product Overview

ProChem pumps are horizontal, single-stage centrifugal pumps with axial inlet, designed in compliance with UNI EN 22858 standards. They are available in three series:

  • RN / RNS: Closed impeller for clear or slightly cloudy, chemically inert or aggressive liquids.
  • RKNS: Recessed open impeller for viscous, particle-laden, or fibrous fluids.

Each series is built around a modular design with robust mechanical components, including:

  • Oil-lubricated rolling-contact bearings for long service life.
  • Heavy-duty protected shafts with minimal deflection (<0.05 mm).
  • Rugged bearing supports with back pull-out design for easy maintenance.
  • Optional configurations: cooled seal housing, heated casing, vertical mounting.

Applications

  • ProChem pumps are used in:
  • Chemical and petrochemical plants
  • Mining and steelworks
  • Shipyards
  • Pulp and paper mills
  • Pharmaceutical production
  • Food and beverage processing
  • Power generation
  • Desalination and water treatment

Seal Options

Multiple sealing systems are available to match fluid characteristics and process requirements:

  • Single mechanical seal (with or without flush)
  • Single seal with rear quench (PLAN 11/62 or PLAN 02/62)
  • Double mechanical seal (PLAN 53/54)
  • Soft packing seal (lubricated by process or external liquid)
  • Non-sparking shaft sleeve options for hazardous environments

Materials & Construction

ProChem pumps are available in a range of materials to suit corrosive and abrasive media:

  • Cast iron (EN-GJL-250)
  • Stainless steel (1.4308, 1.4408)
  • High-performance alloys (1.4401, 1.4028)
  • Shaft sleeves and impellers tailored to application needs

FAQs

RN and RNS use closed impellers for clean or slightly contaminated fluids. RKNS uses a recessed open impeller for viscous or solid-laden fluids.
